Edwin George was awarded an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Award for 2005. He also has a permanent exhibit at
The Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee, North Carolina. Past Exhibits include the Open Space Gallery and
North Water Street Gallery, in Kent, Ohio and Lift Gallery in Cherokee, North Carolina. His Cultural commisioned mural
27`X14` can be seen in the Harrah`s Casino Hotel, Cherokee, North Carolina.

The mural called "LOVE" was painted by twenty volunteers under the direction of Chrystal Birns, mural artist from California and Standing Rock Cultural Arts Center.Kent City officials and a Eastern Band Council delegation from Cherokee, North Carolina were present at the dedication.
Edwin George, local Kent Cherokee artist, stands next to the Portage County Parks new Environmental Bus and his mural " Our Living Earth" featured on both sides of the educational bus that will travel to events, schools and centers with hands on displays that will educate the public about the importance of our Earth connections.

They will be accompanied by Edwin's Nephew Native American Flute player and storyteller Billy Crowbeak.
